News A great product can only improve with the expertise of a large community of partners and indivial contributors having different backgrounds and needs. From the early days, Bonita has been a perfect example of how to leverage the developments and needs of both research and business worlds.

Main partners

Two main partners has been contributing with significant resources to this project and make Bonita a reality: INRIA and Bull.
Together with both key partners a great number of individial contributors and companies has been contributing to the project in a way or another providing feedback, bug fixing or adding new features.
INRIA
The project has been started in 2001 at the INRIA (http://www.inria.fr) labs located in Nancy (France). Within a team of reserchers specialist on the cooperative world, Bonita was the oportunity to put together some great ideas and new concepts

INRIA Research Institute

INRIA, the french institute for research in computer science and control, operating under the dual authority of the Ministry of Research and the Ministry of Industry, is dedicated to fundamental and applied research in information and communication science and technology (ICST). The Institute also plays a major role in technology transfer by fostering training through research, diffusion of scientific and technical information, development, as well as providing expert advice and participating in international programs.

Bull
In 2003, the Bull company (http://www.bull.com) decided to leverage Bonita through their services teams in Europe offering professional support and services around the project. Since this date Bull is also the lead of the project.

Bull and ObjectWeb

Bull, one of the ObjectWeb founding members, is the lead of Bonita. Bull is an international IT group that specialises in designing, developing and implementing secure IT infrastructures. Bull is dedicated to helping customers transform their processes and infrastructures in order to take full advantage of information technology to drive their market growth. To reach this objective, Bull provides a complete offer that includes not only IT services, from consulting to systems integration and outsourcing but also the design and development of infrastructure solutions, with particular emphasis on servers, storage and secure management software.
