Nova Bonita RC2 just released !

This Release Candidate version (second major step on the road for the final version) includes bug fixing, additional unit tests and minor enhancements.As a major improvement, RC2 comes with a new BPM console currently providing deployment, execution and monitoring BPM capabilities. It could be deployed individually or in common with Nova Bonita and/or Nova Orchestra projects. Could you imagine a Web 2.0 generic and customizable console for easily handle XPDL and/or BPEL processes? just take a look to the following video published at BPM Corner

Main features added to this Milestone includes native XPDL support based on the PVM xml parsing utilities and a generic mechanism to handle activities extensions, Workflow API’s separation between deployment, definition, running and history data, advanced operations such suspend and resume for manual activities, reworked activity life cycle between activities and tasks or support for both standard (JSE) and enterprise (JEE) environments…

Nova Bonita M2 is released

Main features added to this Milestone 2 includes the persistence service (both PVM and XPDL extension definition and execution entities has been persisted), the identity and security services as well as an improved version of the Human Task service.

Bonita team at JavaPolis 2007

Bonita team will be at JavaPolis 2007 presenting latest features at the OW2 Consortium booth. Together with Orchestra team we will be giving some demos of both Nova Bonita (XPDL) and Nova Orchestra (BPEL) solutions.

The first milestone of Bonita v4 (also known as Nova Bonita) is now available. This new version of Bonita is based on the "Process Virtual Machine"

Bonita v3.1 is released

We have just released Bonita v3.1. This release is a maintenance version for Bonita v3 which fixes a number of bugs coming from the Bonita bug tracker and Bull's customers tracker. This version comes also with a new API, called HistorySession allowing to retrieve data from the finished workflow instances.
Both engine and platform versions can be downloaded here. Bonita "Simple Project Ever" simple application has been enhanced with a sample code illustrating the new API.

The Process Virtual Machine presented in JavaOne

The Bonita workflow team is proud to announce the ongoing collaboration with other open source leading communities on the BPM/Workflow area. Together with both Orchestra and Jbpm teams we are working on a new generation of BPM solutions based on a common engine technology called PVM (Process Virtual Machine). This technology will be the master piece of the next Bonita 4 version. Main concepts of this technology are explained in article published on the OnJava community. This article has been presented during the last JavaOne conference.

Bonita v3, Workflow Made Graphical !

Bonita v3 has just been released after a couple of hard months of work ! with this move Bonita becomes the first open source workflow solution offering a fully integrated graphical environment to define, to execute, to administrate and to monitor workflow processes.

Bonita talk and demos at Linux Solutions

Miguel Valdes will deliver a speech on BPM open source development at Linux Solutions. During this speech Miguel will introduce some of the main concepts related to the BPM world and will show a real use case in which Bonita (XPDL) and Orchestra (BPEL) ObjectWeb projects has been used together. During the conference, Miguel and Brice Revenant will show several demos about Bonita v3 and the Bonita - eXo platform integration at both Bull and Objectweb booth.

Bonita team at JavaPolis

Miguel Valdes will be delivering a speech at JavaPolis together with Benjamin Mestrallet from eXo Platform and Ludovic Dubost from XWiki. During this speech, the integration of Bonita in the eXo ECM platform will be introduced and the new version of Bonita will be presented.

Bonita v2.1 has been released

The new version of Bonita open source workflow project has been released today. This version, v2.1, add new features such workflow versioning and includes support for both JOnAS and Jboss AS.

The Bull R&D team is pleased to announce the availability in open source of the integration of Bonita Workflow and eXo ECM (Enterprise Content Management). It allows users to interact with the Workflow Engine through a JSR 168 Portlet user interface that includes online forms, ToDo lists and process status information.

The session features short presentations of both components. It then deals with a real world use case where they are combined to form a framework for e-Government applications. It will show, among others, how forms are filled by Citizens through eXo Portal, then stored in eXo Java Content Repository and processed by Bonita.
